Floorhand JOB DUTIES All duties related to the general maintenance, operations and servicing of oil and gas wells: Assist in rigging in/out of equipment, well-heads, BOPs and safety equipment Assist in running tubing, pipes and rods? Manipulate sections of pipe or drill stem at the rig floor during drilling and during the removal and replacement of strings of pipe or drill stem and drill bit Maintain drilling equipment on the drill floor (keep all equipment in clean, good working order) Handle, sort and move drill tools, pipe, cement and other materials Assist in rigging in/out other equipment such as pipe racks, cat walks, power cords and ground lines Operate a truck to transport materials and well service equipment SKILLS Experience driving a company vehicle and transporting the rig and associated equipment Experience with different types of service rigs, including but not limited to single rigs, double rigs, mobile rigs, skidded rigs, slant rigs and free-standing rigs. Knowledge of standard rig terms, tools and equipment Knowledge of standard arm signals Knowledge of safety procedures and health and safety training Physically strong, capable of working long-hours in a demanding environment Must have good English communication skills, be willing to follow instructions, participate in on-the-job training and demonstrate a positive attitude REQUIREMENTS H2S Alive Standard First Aid Valid Class 5 Driver's License (No Novice or GDL) Airbrakes preferred We provide competitive wages and benefits, hourly cash bonus paid every pay period, hands &ndash on training, and an opportunity to work on some of the most intresting projects in the Oil and Gas industry.
