With customer service and safety as our focus, we are looking for full time energetic and driven Heavy Duty/ Truck Transport Mechanics to support our growing company. The Opportunity: As a Technician with Freightliner of Cranbrook, you'll be required to carry out diagnostic tests and repairs to a variety of vehicles and equipment using modern maintenance practices. JOB DUTIES WOULD INCLUDE: Perform inspection diagnosis and repair of complete vehicle systems eg: Engines, Transmissions, Differentials, Electrical and Air systems. Utilize vehicle computer electronics and computer programs to interpret failures. Perform all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs). Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment. Performs maintenance related work as required. Maintains a clean, safe work area and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures REQUIREMENTS: Journeyman 3rd or 4th year Heavy Duty/ Truck Transport Mechanic. Competency using various computer systems to record and document repairs and diagnose problems. Physical requirements of this position include the ability to push, pull, drag, and lift items up to 50 pounds, Work hours may require overtime and some weekends.
