The Action Group

The Action Group is a non-profit organization that provides a range of services to adults and children with disabilities in Central Alberta. The Action Group is dedicated to engaging individuals and inspiring them to become leaders in their own lives. We are currently recruiting Community Disability Support Workers (CDSW) for our residential programs. CDSWs provide support to our clients in both residential and community settings, to assist in all aspects of their daily lives. Qualifications Must have confidence in providing supports to people with developmental disabilities Experience working with/implementing Behaviour Support Plans considered an asset Comfortable with providing all aspects of personal care Creativity Patience Ability to work under pressure Able to work closely with a team Requirements Driver's License and Reliable Vehicle Successful candidates must provide a Criminal Record Check; and may be required to provide a Child Intervention Record Emergency First Aid Level C/AED (obtainable within first three months of hire) High School Diploma Certification/Diploma in a related field (Foundations, Community Support Worker, etc.) considered an asset What we can offer Full-time and part-time positions $17.87/hour with weekend shift enhancement Various shifts available Company benefit plan after 6 months for qualifying positions RRSP after 2 years We thank all applicants who apply, though only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
