Floorhand Savanna Well Servicing Job Description General Statement of Duties * This position is responsible for safely and efficiently performing manual labor tasks on a well servicing rig such as general maintenance on the rig and its associated equipment. Supervision Received: * Receives directions from the Driller/Operator and overall supervision from the Rig Manager. Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following): * Participates in the general maintenance of the well servicing rig including cleaning the rig floor, rig equipment and the ‘dog house’ * Assists the Driller/Operator and Derrickhand on the rig floor or with other tasks * Assist with Blow Out Prevention (BOP) procedures * Assist in moving the rig to and from locations (“rigging up” and “rigging out”) * Maintains, cleans, utilizes hand tools and organizes the tool room * Maintains the light plant * Helps run tubing/rod in and out of well * Follows and carries out duties according to relevant policies, regulations, and standards according to JHAs * Ability to take direction from other crew members and perform various tasks * Other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working with hand tools * Attentiveness and good listening skills with the ability to take direction * Good communication skills and safety orientation * Knowledge of rig equipment and safety practices * Team-orientation with the ability to build good relationships with supervisor and peers * Commitment to the demonstration of Savanna’s core values (integrity, relationships, excellence & sustainability) * Commitment to his/her own learning & development and ability to learn on the fly, particularly with regards to technical skills * Ability to maintain resilience and perseverance in the face of challenging situations/extreme work conditions * Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions * Ability to travel to and work in remote locations Required Certificates & Experience * High School Diploma or equivalent * Floorhand Competency * Valid safety tickets (e.g. H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO) * Valid driver’s license (Class 5 or above) * Thermal experience is considered an asset * Must have experience working on a service rig (Min. 1-2 years of experience)Apply at: swsrigjobs@savannawellservicing.com Company: Savanna Well Servicing Salary: To be determined.
